Zachary Quinto in People Magazine
The September 29th issue of People Magazine has a Q&A with Zachary Quinto. Here’s a scan plus a transcript.
Zachary Quinto: After a summer on the hush-hush Star Trek set, NBC’s Heroes star has all new secrets to keep.
Are you psyched to be back on the Heroes set?
It’s really great fun. It’s fun to creep people out on the show– it’s different when people are creeped out by me personally!
What’s in store for Sylar?
We start to explore the shades of his power. We specify what his original power was and test his boundaries.
How do you pass downtime on set?
Crossword puzzles. I can get through to Wednesday, maybe Thursday of the New York Times’ puzzles. Kristen and I do them.
Is Kristen competative?
No, she just has to deal with the fact that I’m a lot better. Just kidding. Sort of.
You’re Spock in the new Star Trek. Did you get to keep the pointy ears?
No. Everything was well-tracked and guarded. We couldn’t be seen by anybody, even on the lot. Five months into it, we still had to cover up in a raincoat and zip in a golf cart [to go anywhere].
Halloween is coming up. Will you capitalize on your access to wardrobe?
No. Its a homemade movement. Past costumes have included a lit match and a zombie Mr. Rogers. I can’t tell you what I’m wearing, but preparations have begun.
