Watching Heroes

I have to apologize for my absence as well as the downtime on the site. I’m told that the server issues are fixed and after some brief downtime this week, we should be back for good…and better than ever. And that’s a great thing since there are lots of things happening in the world of Heroes over the next couple of months!

So here’s what we’ve missed:

The new Heroes “webisodes” have begun. The first one premiered on Monday. You can watch it below:

We’ve also heard quite a few spoilers from Kristin at E! Online and others around the web. They’re behind the cut, for those of you who don’t want to know.

Let’s see…Kristin has told us so much in the last few weeks. Here’s what we know from her latest reports:

• Kristen Bell is confirmed for at least 5 episodes
• Cristine Rose (Mama Petrelli) will be a series regular this year,
• Sylar and HRG will be working together this year and be sharing a lot of screen time
• Niki is out but Ali Larter isn’t. In fact, she’ll be introducing us to an entirely new personality, Tracy Strauss.
• Parkman’s storyline will take him to the desert. And somehow involve a tortoise. huh?
• Nathan will have a “near death experience” in which he visits with Linderman.
• Mohinder will hook up with a female Hero that we already know. We may also see Mohinder displaying some sort of ability. In Kristin’s words, “There is more to him than meets the eye, but he ultimately may need to “scale back.”

Comic Book Resources’ Aron and Joe gave us these tidbits:

• Season Three will pick “up right from the moment Nathan is shot. Well, actually…a few moments before. Well, technically, four years in the future. But that’s only until… Suffice it to say, you will learn who shot Nathan Petrelli from the proverbial get go”.
• Isaac’s sketchbook will reappear (they say eppys 9, 10 and 11) and we will also meet a new artist with “familiar” artwork and subject matter.
• Arthur Petrelli will appear in a flashback by Episode 8.
• Regarding Peter - “We all know that “With great power comes great responsibility.�? “But we also know that “Absolute power corrupts absolutely.�? So basically Peter will find himself torn between these two platitudes. It’s Lord Acton vs Stan Lee in a battle for the ages. So stay tuned.”

TV Guide confirms that Sylar and HRG will be involved in a storyline together that will end in a confrontation. They also tell us Maya will be hooking up with a character we already know. (Hmmm…so if, according to Kristin, Mohinder is hooking up with a female Hero…)

The BBC gave journalists a sneak preview of the Season 3 premiere and Digital Spy gave us these spoilers:

• Nathan Petrelli is apparently dead. “There was nothing we could do,” a doctor tells the family.
• Elle will be doing a little sparring with Sylar this season.
• Angela Petrelli introduces us to “Level 5″, where some of the most dangerous criminals in the world are kept.
• Matt Parkman is alone in the middle of a desert screaming for help.
• New Villain “The Speedster” steals something from Hiro.
• Sylar is seen approaching Angela Petrelli from behind and placing his hands on her shoulders.
• Linderman is back with a prophecy of doom. “The second coming is at hand,” he warns.
• A big bald man, incarcerated in Level 5, shouts, “I’m not who you think I am! I’m Peter Petrelli!”
