The Heroes Deadpool

Ok. Speculation time folks. With the announcement of a character being killed off before the end of the season, I’d like to forward my top 5 likely candidates. One of the stipulations for my selections is that the character had to have been around from the beginning, since that was what they mentioned in the article. So, here we go.

1. Zach
This is kinda of a easy guess, but is mainly based on the speculation that the actor, Thomas Dekker, won’t be back for the next season.

2. Horn Rimmed-Glasses Man
I’m running with this one because with the revelation of Linderman, we may not need him as the bad guy heavy anymore. (This fact is dispute by my buddy Chrispian, who isn’t convinced in the ‘bad guyness’ of Linderman.)

3. Ando
I’m gonna throw Ando in here, because although he is well liked and his death would upset quite a few people, he is also one of the few non-powered characters from early on and may eventually become moot. Ando was primarily Hiro’s translator, as Hiro becomes more fluent, Ando becomes less important.

4. The Haitian
The Haitian makes the list because of his betrayal of HRG. It think that HRG might not be forgiving of someone betraying him and causing a rift between him and Claire. This is assuming I’m wrong about him getting wacked.

5. Niki
I might have went for Isaac with this last one, since his death was predicted by a time traveling Hiro, but I’m opting for Niki. Niki is by far, the most violent character on the sshow and seems to be occupying brain space with here dead sister Jessica. I think that she might go out in a blaze of glory by the end of season one, maybe in an attempt on one of the other heroes or Linderman.

Disagree? Feel free to load up the comments with your top 5’s and let’s compare note.

  1. Retart Says:

I think it may be Jessica. Considering Niki is up for the death penalty and Jessica has stated before that she took the brunt of the father’s beatings, it would be interesting to see her “take the brunt” of a lethal injection. Also, remember when DL and Micah visited Niki in prison, she snapped the policeman’s staff (hehe…staff..) in two as *Niki*, not Jessica. Perhaps Niki will assimilate Jessica’s powers if she “dies”?

But Haitian guy is a great thought, too.

  2. Admin Says:

I’m leaning towards Zach. He’s filming a pilot for another show, which may or may not take off so he could be back. In TV Guide Tim suggests the character may be back in the show in other ways, such as with Hiro’s time traveling. Though having Tim say something like that would lead me towards Ando, but I think he’ll be around for a bit longer. HRG isn’t even a contender in my book. My theory is that either Nathan or Linderman is Claire’s father and HRG would then be a natural enemy of those two. Way too much story left to tell with him. Claire has to go find her dad during sweeps so I know it’s not HRG.

Like Retart above, I also think Jessica could die (not Nikki) and also noticed it was Niki using the powers when she broke the baton.

Bottom line: My top choice is Zach, followed by Jessica then Ando.
