The Recruit: Final Episode, "The Truth Within"
Here is the last installment of the web series, "The Recruit."
Here is the last installment of the web series, "The Recruit."
At the NBC Golden Globes After Party last night, TV Guide’s Matt Mitovich caught up with Jimmy Jean Louis and Zachary Quinto and asked them about what’s coming up in the Fugitives volume. They didn’t spill much, but here they are for your viewing pleasure:
I didn’t watch E!’s coverage of the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes last night, but The ODI is reporting that Kristin dos Santos said on the air that it is either Hayden Panettiere or Ali Larter who was referenced in her blind item from last week. Here is the quote, as reported by one of their readers, Rebel:
“I have to tell you, we have some breaking TV news. It seems to me that all of our favorite stars are jumping ship. Okay. Now, we’ve heard that T.R. Knight on “Grey’s Anatomy” has asked out of his contract and maybe leaving at the end of this season. He’s not the only one. Okay. “Heroes” sources are now telling me that one of the two biggest stars. Biggest names on the show, so we’re either talking Hayden or…or…Ali Larter will be leaving the show because they’ve asked off the show. So now NBC has not yet decided if they’re going to let them out of it.”
Kristen then goes to talk about another actor on another show I don’t know about. Then closes with: “I hope I can talk some of these TV stars to stay with their shows.”
Did anyone else see this last night? I haven’t been able to find anything to confirm the quote. I also need to point out that this is still an unconfirmed (by NBC) spoiler.
Here, again, are the original clues as to who it might be:
Now, which of these ladies do you think it might be? Discuss!
As promised, here is video from last night’s Golden Globe Awards. First up Hayden Panettiere and Zac Efron present the award for Actor in a a Drama Series:
And here are Zachary Quinto and his Star Trek co-star Chris Pine presenting the award for Actress in a Drama Series:
I’ve also got red carpet photos of Hayden and Zach in this post in case you missed them.
(I haven’t had a chance to cap mine yet, so I borrowed these vids from YouTube users thellou and LiLTelevision)
.
I’m working on getting you some video of their appearances, which just happened to be one right after the other, but in the meantime, here are some photos of Zach and Hayden from the Golden Globes:

As you may know, Milo Ventimiglia and his buddies from the Divide Social Club (DSC) are huge Star Wars fans and have made several films featuring their office light saber duels. They were even asked to put together a presentation of their short films to open the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge Presentation at Comic-Con in San Diego last summer.
They are at it again in preparation for the upcoming New York Comic-Con. Here’s the first film that has gone up:
You can see other videos featuring Milo and his buddies on the YouTube page of DSC co-founder Russ Cundiff at http://www.youtube.com/user/russ181. New York ComicCon runs February 6-8, 2009 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. For more info, see the New York ComicCon website.
Here is a sneak peek of what we will see at tonight’s 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards Ceremony at the Beverly Hilton when Zachary Quinto will be joined by his Star Trek co-star Chris Pine to present an award. Pine, of course, will play James T. Kirk to ZQ’s Spock in the long-awaited Star Trek movie, due in theaters on May 9, 2009. Here are a couple of photos from rehearsals which took place on Saturday, January 10.
Although Heroes was shut out of any nominations this year, the show will be represented at tonight’s ceremony by Zach and Hayden Panettiere, who is also scheduled to present. The Golden Globes air live on NBC beginning at 8pm ET.

It’s been a while since we did one of these, but there are quite a few smallish tidbits of news out there this morning, so I think a “roundup” in in order:
BuddyTV has named several Heroes stars to their list of TV’s Sexiest Stars of 2008. On the list of Sexiest Women, Kristen Bell comes in at #2, Hayden Panettiere is at #6 and Ali Larter is at #13. The Sexiest Men include Zachary Quinto at #15 and Milo Ventimiglia at #22.
The ODI is reporting that the title of episode 21 will be “Into Asylum.”
Brea Grant was featured in the holiday issue of Statement magazine and that issue is now available for viewing online. You can see photos of Brea on page 16 in the table of contents and on page 30. Brea also did the editor’s picks for Smashing Darling, an indie fashion blog.
David H. Lawrence XVII, who plays the villain Doyle, has confirmed via Twitter that he will be back in Volume 4. Through his Twitter updates, we have learned that he will be filming scenes with Greg Grunberg and Brea Grant on the 21st. We also know from previous interviews and set photos that he has filmed scenes with Hayden Panettiere. By the way, If you’re not following David on Twitter, you’re really missing out. He is a fascinating person who is involved in a number of different projects. Check him out at www.davids.com.
Ali Larter is on the cover of the February 2009 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine. You can see scans of the cover and article at Movie Hotties. Thanks to Jeane for the heads up.
Collider.com has a new interview with Sendhil Ramamurthy. In the interview, he talks a bit about Bryan Fuller’s return and says that they are currently filming episode 21. He also tells us that several actors will share scenes in Volume 4, some having 6 or 7 actors together in one scene. Here’s the video:
Zachary Quinto and his Star Trek co-star Chris Pine will present together at Sunday’s 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards. This will be the actors first live television appearance together since they took on the roles as young Spock and Kirk in the upcoming Star Trek prequel. Hayden Panettiere is also scheduled to present.
Other previously announced presenters include Simon Baker, Drew Barrymore, Pierce Brosnan, Sandra Bullock, Gerard Butler, Glenn Close, Sean Combs, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cameron Diaz, Aaron Eckhart, Zac Efron, Laurence Fishburne, Ricky Gervais, Jake Gyllenhaal, Salma Hayek, The Jonas Brothers, Jessica Lange, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez, Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen, Martin Scorsese.
The Golden Globes will take place Sunday, January 11 at The Beverly Hilton and will be televised live on NBC beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
Well, I’m not sure this actually qualifies as a “scoop” since I don’t think any of us ever had any doubts that Peter Petrelli would eventually regain his powers, but in her latest “Watch with Kristin” segment, E!’s Kristin Dos Santos tells us that Peter will be regaining the ability to absorb powers from others. He will begin using his ability to stock up on powers before the end of the first Volume 4 episode. The info is at about 4:34 in the video which includes scoop on 24, LOST and Friday Night Lights as well.:
Heroes returns to NBC on Monday, February 2nd.
A Pushing Daisies reunion (of sorts) is in the making at Heroes as Swoosie Kurtz has signed a deal to guest star in an April episode which was written by Daisies creator Bryan Fuller.
Kurtz will play Millie, an old society friend of Angela Petrelli’s. A source tells EW’s Michael Ausiello that Fuller wrote the part specifically for Kurtz. At this time the role is only slated for one episode but it would have recurring potential, particularly if the show is picked up for a fourth season. (Don’t worry! Given that it is NBC’s highest rated scripted program, a renewal is expected).
Fuller, who worked on Season 1 of Heroes, returned to the show late last year after ABC canceled Pushing Daisies and Heroes executive producers Jeph Loeb and Jesse Alexander were given the heave-ho.
E! Online’s Kristin has posted a blind item citing sources “close to Heroes” which indicates that one of the cast members is looking to exit the show at the end of this season, in part because of lack of screen time.
According to her sources, NBC has not yet decided whether to let this actor out of his/her contract. There is, however, a “death” planned for the end of Volume 4 that could “wipe out this character for good.”
Here are the clues to who it might be:
Heroes has taken the People’s Choice Award for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show. The award was announced during tonight’s ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Other nominees in the category were Supernatural and Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles.
This marks the second People’s Choice Award for the show. They took the honor of Favorite New TV Drama in 2007.
Other TV Winners included:
A full list of winners can be found at http://www.pcavote.com/pca/show/nominees/.
Greg Grunberg will be interviewed on The Authority Radio Show on Monday, January 12 at 9pm ET. In the New York City area, you can catch the interview on WGBB 1240AM NY. Outside of NYC, you can find it online at www.am1240wgbb. com. More information is available on The Authority Radio Show MySpace page.
By the way, as I mentioned earlier, Greg and the Band From TV will be performing on the January 16 episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Greg is sure to plug that when he talks to The Authority on Monday. You can watch a clip of Greg and the band, including a mustachioed Adrian Pasdar, Hugh Laurie, Jesse Spencer and Bob Guiney at the Band From TV website.
The holidays may be over, but the folks over at the NBC Store emailed to let us know that they are still celebrating with a sale on Heroes merchandise. Here are some of my favorites from the sale:
