More Award Nominations for ‘Heroes’
Well they may not be Emmy’s, but Heroes has received nominations from two more organizations, The Constellation Awards and The Webbys.
The Heroes mobile site is up for a Webby Award. The Webby Awards are just what they sound like - awards for outstanding websites. The Heroes mobile site is up for the Best Entertainment Mobile Site. The site is up against Bravo Mobile Web, Cosmo Mobile: 100 Hot Cities, Fake Calls, Dude Decoder & Cocktails!, Disney on Mobile and Radical Media for Iphone.

Also recognizing Heroes is The Constellation Awards. The Constellation Awards are Canada’s annual science fiction awards. It’s relatively new, now in its second year. The nominees are selected and voted upon by the Canadian viewers. This year, they’ve selected Heroes for several nominations:
For the category Best Male Performance in a 2007 Science Fiction Television Episode, Heroes gets 2 nominations: Christopher Eccleston for the episode “Distractions” and Jack Coleman for the episode “Company Man.” Other nominees in the category include David Tennant (Doctor Who), Jared Padalecki (Supernatural), Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) and Zachary Levi (Chuck).
Kristen Bell receives a nod for the episode “Cautionary Tales” in the category Best Female Performance in a 2007 Science Fiction Television Episode. She’ll be up against
Amanda Tapping (Stargate: SG-1), Carey Mulligan (Doctor Who), Christina Cox (Blood Ties), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies), and Naoko Mori (Torchwood).
The show itself is nominated in the category Best Overall 2007 Science Fiction Film or Television Script for the episode “Five Years Gone.” It will compete against Battlestar Galactica: Razor, Doctor Who (Human Nature/The Family Of Blood), Journeyman (Perfidia), Smallville (Justice), and Supernatural (What Is & What Should Never Be).
Complete nominees are listed on The Constellation Awards website. In order to vote, you must either be a Canadian citizen or be a member of TCON Promotional Society. There is a $5 voting fee which helps pay for the awards and ceremony.
