‘Heroes’ Scoop from E! Online
E! Online’s Kristin has a couple of Heroes tidbits in today’s edition of Spoiler Chat:
Nathaniel in Washington, D.C.: What can you tell me about Heroes‘ future?
Let’s see…Matt Parkman’s (Greg Grunberg) future is drawn for him by an African bushman, and in the world’s future, the sky is full of people who can fly. It’ll be just like The Jetsons! Except, you know, no flying contraptions needed. This is a future I’m looking forward to ’cause the traffic on the 405 is killing me.Emma in Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Can you tell me anything more about Ali Larter’s character’s powers on Heroes?
You know the reporter played by William Katt of Greatest American Hero who confronts "Tracy Strauss" (Ali Larter) with evidence that she’s actually "Niki Saunders"? Well, there’s a reason he’s only in one episode, and that reason is that someone kills him by accident. (Wait a minute, could Ali be playing a character with a lethal power? Noooo!) Also, after Tracy begins to believe the reporter might be right about her real identity, she sets off to find the doctor who delivered her, in hopes that he can tell her more about her origins. She finds out at summer camp she has an identical twin, and they set off on a mischievious but adorable mission to get their parents to reunite. Or wait, that last sentence may have been from another story.
Kristin also posted an article about last night’s Countdown to the Premiere party at Edison in LA. She described the event as being more like an awards show, complete with screaming fans on the red carpet and a few paid extras for that extra "Hollywood glamour." The show was being filmed for broadcast after all.
As we mentioned in the picture post, Greg Grunberg wasn’t in attendance and neither were, Kristen Bell, David Anders or Robert Forster.
These are the important things Kristin says we need to know:
- According to Tim Kring, all the new characters fold into existing main character storylines, rather than having their own stories right off the bat. (Can I get a hell yes?)
- Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) are together again, on a quest for the mysterious "Formula" (the significance of which will be explained in episode five). According to Lee, their mission takes them to Bora Bora, Zimbabwe and lovely downtown Bakersfield, Calif.
- According to Ali Larter, there is "something of a scientific basis" for the explanation of how Niki (who was killed in a fire in the season-two finale) and Tracy Strauss (her current character) appear to be identical.
- According Malcolm McDowell, it was Linderman who recruited the Speedster (Brea Grant) to be a minion of evil.
- It’s OK with Adrian Pasdar if you want to call him President Petrelli.
E! Online will be posting video from the party between now and premiere day. I’ll try to bring those to you as they are available. Here’s a short (and very loud) video she posted with the first article:
