‘Heroes’ Quick News for Monday, April 14
TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello tells us that 2 new recurring roles are being cast for Season 3. The first is “Joy,” a young woman in her 20’s who is described as “quick on her feet — and adept at getting herself into and out of trouble.” The other is “Senator Robert Malden,” a man in is in his fifties described as “a political straight shooter.”
Kristen Bell told EW.com that her reps are working to get her back on Heroes next season. “I have made it more than clear that I want to come back and they have made it more than clear that they want me back.” She said it’s all a matter of scheduling at this point. She also said she’s excited about the possibility of having more scenes with her friend, Zachary Quinto.
New Heroes web comics will begin on Tuesday, April 15 (that’s tomorrow!). EW.com got a preview of the first one and has a panel up on their site if you want to check it out. Writer Chuck Kim says the new installments will focus on The Company. We’ll see Bob, Elle, The Haitian and a little HRG, as well as several new characters: Donna Dunlap (who we’ll meet in the first comic), Thompson, Jr. (son of HRG’s former boss), a mother-daughter team, an engaged pair of agents, and Felcia, a trainer of new recruits. Several of the new characters will eventually turn up on episodes. Check http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/novels/ each Tuesday for new installments of the web comic.
Heroes Television has some new info on the upcoming webisodes. Apparently, they aren’t just off-season fare. Additional chapters will roll out throughout the season. Each chapter will weave online with on-air creative to enhance the Heroes experience. Season 3 of Heroes 360 (online content) will expand the Heroes universe further with webisodes, online manhunts for the villains, the addition of more micro sites, wireless iTV interactivity and the ability to view the graphic novel on mobile platforms. The webisodes premiere in July.
