Heroes - Landslide - The Highlights

by KeithR

With exhaustion getting the better of me. I figured I’d go with a highlights post, rather than the full-on overview. A lot of good stuff happened in this episode, but it did have an off the wall kind of feel. The pot was definitely being stirred for the season finale.

For those of you not wishing to be tipped off to the events in this episode, here is the standard disclaimer: Spoilers Below…

Peter gets Teds power, HRG tells them to get out of town with Claire. HRG and Parkman go after the Walker tracking system. Hiro is upset, Ando calls a guy in the phone book to fix the sword. they guy’s logo is the symbol on the sword. Linderman convinces Nathan to still run and let thee bomb happen. Linderman heals Nathans wife. Peter hears Sylar’s thoughts and realizes that Sylar is in NYC and observing them. Hiro runs into Nathan, tells him about the bomb. Nathan says he can’t do anything about it. Hiro then calls him a villian. DL and Jessica are stalking Nathan. Hiro and Ando find the sword maker, they find out he is in the employ of Hiro’s father. Hiro’s father tells Hiro that he wishes to speak with him alone. Ando begs him not to go because his father will send him back to Japan and the mission will fail. Hiro says he must speak with his father andd show respect. Candice and Linderman convince Micah to rig the voting machines by offering him finacial security for his family. The feds capture Ted. Sylar, impersonating Isaac, turned him in. Peter and Claire disappear using Peters invisibility. Hiro’s father reveals that he has known about hiro all along and that they have been waiting for one of his bloodline to ascend. He the trains Hiro to use the sword. Micah makes all the voting machines cast votes for Nathan. DL and Jessica surprise Nathan. they team up to get Linderman and save Micah. Parkman and HRG use Parkman’s powers to infiltrate the building where the walker tracking system is being held, they run into DL and Jessica because it is the same place where Micah is. Mohinder is working with Molly and she show him that her power is working. She shows him the location of her other hero, the cop that saved her from the boogie man. this happens to be Parkman, who rescued her after Sylar had killed her family. Thompson bust in telling them that they need to get to the roof because HRG and Parkman are in the building. Thompson waits to ambush HRG, Parkman hear’s his thoughts and saves him. HRG then takes off and leaves Parkman. Thompson gets the jump on Parkman, but HRG gets the jump on him and pops a cap in his skull. Mohinder send Molly to her room and bust Parkman over the head when they find Molly. Mohinder and HRG end up in a Mexican standoff. Sylar uses his wickedly cool powers to jack Ted from the feds and takes his heads…and powers. Hiro leaves his training to talk to Ando and realizes that Ando has taken the sword to go after Sylar himself, thinking hiro had given up. Claire and Peter see the feds van with Ted topless, skull topless that is. DL and Jessica bust in on Linderman to get Micah. They rough him up a bit and he tries to bribe Jessica. It almost works, but she switches to Niki. Linderman tries to shoot her but DL jumps in front. As he is going to finish her off, DL sneaks up from behind and merges his hand with Lindermans brain and rips it out. Having won a landslide victory, thanks to Micah, Nathan gives his victory speech. during the speech we see flashes of the other heroes. Peter and Claire fleeing in a car, Hiro running after Ando, Micah staring out a window, Ando looking at a map with a sword in hand, Headless Ted in a bodybag and the fed who caught him, Dead Linderman and Niki holding a dying DL and Mohinder and HRG in the standoff with Molly crying in the background. the final scene closes out with Sylar atop a building, trying out Ted’s powers and the saying “Boom.”
sylar - boom
