‘Heroes’ Honored with 2 WAVE Awards
You haven’t heard of a WAVE award? That makes two of us. Probably because this is the first year they have been given out. WAVE, the Wireless Arts Video & Entertainment Awards, were created to honor mobile entertainment (the things you watch on your phone or iPod). Nominees were chosen by the Academy and voted on by mobile video and wireless users. Winners were announced in mid-November and handed out by the Academy president, Kip Hartman.
Hayden Panettiere took the honor of Favorite Clipped Dramatic Artist and Heroes was honored for Favorite Clipped Dramatic Series. Tim Kring accepted the award in a private outdoor ceremony. He said in his acceptance speech, that he believes ”this is how we will keep television series alive in the future.” He also stressed the importance of finding your audience and being able to go where they go.
