Heroes Comes on Strong for NBC
Heroes pulled some nice numbers on Monday, putting it on top for the adults 18-49 demographic (I fit nicely into that group). This is good news for fans of the show, because it means it might actually stay around for a while (knock on wood). From Hollywoodreporter.com:
“Heroes” averaged 14.3 million viewers and a 6.2 rating/15 share in adults 18-49, according to preliminary estimates released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research. “Heroes” won hands-down at 9 p.m. (and the entire night) in the demo, while CBS’s “Two and a Half Men” (15.1 million, 4.7/11) beat it between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. before “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (12.1 million, 3.9/9) lowered CBS’s average in the hour. ABC was in third place with “The Bachelor: Rome” (8.2 million, 3.2/8), while Fox moved “Justice” (6.2 million, 2.0/5) to a new time period amid heavy promotion during the World Series.
As a fan of Studio60, I’m hoping that Heroes will be sharing a little ratings love to those riding the coat tails. Win/Win in my opinion.

The problem is the same people watching Heroes aren’t the same people that would watch Studio 60. They’re geared for different audiences completely. I hope they both do well, because they’re both well made and I watch both of them.
