On my daily trip to NBC.com’s Heroes site, I ran across this new promotional photo of the cast for Season 3.

The photo is not very large, but from left to right it looks like we have James Kyson Lee (Ando Masahashi), Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet aka HRG), Ali Larter (the character formerly Niki/Jessica Sanders), Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli), Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli), Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli), Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Dania Ramirez (Maya Herrera), Zachary Quinto (Sylar) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh). They all appear to be standing on a pile of rubble…at the end of the world, no doubt. Noticeably absent from this photo is Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah Sanders) who will be taking on a smaller role in the show this year.

The individual cast photos can’t be far behind. I’ll bring them to you as soon as I can find them.

Cast members from Heroes are reported to make an appearance on the show, though there is no confirmation on just who will show up. Also appearing will be Christian Slater, from the new drama My Own Worst Enemy; Molly Shannon and Selma Blair, from the new comedy Kath & Kim; and cast members from The Office.

The program will be available to NBC/U’s local affiliates and cable channels, including Sci-Fi, USA and Bravo, from August 30-September 28 so check your local listings to find out when you can see it in your area. It will be available for on-demand and broadband viewing and at NBC.com. United Airlines will also screen the preview on some of it’s flights.

NBC’s premiere week kicks off with the three hour Heroes event on September 22.

Looks like Claire has shed the cheerleader outfit this year. And those hair extensions (or wig) are not convincing.

All the KBell fans can rest easy. I would say this is definite confirmation that she will be back.

Looks like Peter got a little roughed up in the scene. Could those be wounds from a battle with Elle?

Hayden, who was also nominated as Choice Female Hottie, was on hand to accept the awards.  Kristen Bell also made an appearance, joining LOST star Josh Holloway on stage to present an award.

There are a few Heroes items on the web today worth checking out:

• An article from TV Week makes it sound like Tim Kring isn’t amused by all the product placement and online content that surrounds the show.
• Hayden Panettiere is nominated for several Teen Choice awards. She is scheduled to make an appearance at the ceremony

Hayden and Milo are both up for Teen Choice awards this year.

The show and several cast members are nominated for Teen Choice Awards this year. The ceremony, which will be hosted by Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus, will be taped tomorrow and shown Monday night, August 4th, at 8pm ET on Fox. Heroes stars Hayden Panettiere and Kristen Bell are scheduled to appear. Each of them has several nominations.

The show is up for Choice TV Show Action Adventure and will compete against Lost, Prison Break, Smallville, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

Forster is an acting veteran. He has guest starred on dozens of television shows including Police Story, Magnum PI., Hotel, Tales from the Darkside, Walker, Texas Ranger, Murder She Wrote, Numb3rs and Desperate Housewives. He starred in the short-lived drama Karen Sisco as Karen’s father. He has also been in the films Me, Myself & Irene, Mulholland Drive, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Firewall and Lucky Number Slevin.

Whether Arthur Petrelli will be showing up in the present, past or future is unknown.  Perhaps he’s not dead at all (who really is on this show) and will show up in the present. And given Angela’s storyline, is Arthur going to be a Hero or a Villain. I, for one, can’t wait to find out.

The second video shows a little of their arrival at the convention center, backstage footage (where you’ll get a glimpse of Chuck’s Zachary Levi), and some onstage footage of fans and cast. The final bit is jokesters Jack and Adrian doing a bit with some bananas on the train. You know you don’t want to miss that:

The two hour season premiere, “A Second Coming,” premieres on Monday, September 22 at 8pm. It will be preceded by an hour-long special, which has been described as a red carpet type event.
