Dania Ramirez Says Big Changes in Store for Maya
by
If you were cheering when whiney Maya Herrera was shot last season, then you’ll be glad to hear that big changes are coming for the Dominican character.
Here’s what Dania Ramirez told the NY Daily News about her character:
- “I know everybody was frustrated . . . and I can understand that. Her story line dragged a little bit, even for me. I wanted it to move along as well.”
- “People loved the original characters so it was hard to get introduced after that.”
- “Maya is different now. I cry a lot less this season and make out a lot more.”
- Regarding her romance with Mohinder: “They fall for each other, and I’ll give you a clue: It’s in an animalistic way,” she dishes.
- “My character is in New York this time around which I love, because I am a New Yorker.”
- “I can tell our fans that off the bat, this show is back on track.”
- About her Imagen Award: “Being given an award by the Latino community, being Latina and knowing how hard it has been for me — and knowing where I grew up, is a blessing. It made me want to keep winning awards,” she jokes.
