‘Heroes’ Season 3 News and New 30 Second Trailer

Friday, May 9th, 2008

capt.b0a2b783cc13416fb5363af74f1a90cb.heroes_la114 It seems our "speedy" new villain will not be named Joy at all but instead will be called Daphne. Daphne, played by Brea Grant, will be a villain who is described as "Hiro’s nemesis." In an interview with the Associated Press, Grant describes her character as The Joker to Hiro’s Batman. Grant explains, "I’m stealing a secret that’s been kept in Hiro’s family for a long time that he’s just now found." It sounds like she’ll be playing a big part in Hiro’s storyline in the upcoming season. The photo at right is from the AP article. An additional photo can be found at the source.

If you’re looking for more Season 3 scoop, make sure you check out this TV Guide interview with Jack Coleman. Jack gives us some scoop on what we can expect from his character as well as with Claire, Hiro and Mohinder. As with anything Season 3-related, the interview is slightly spoilery. I’m just warning you…

‘Heroes’ Quick News for Monday, April 14

Monday, April 14th, 2008

gn80-sp.gif TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello tells us that 2 new recurring roles are being cast for Season 3. The first is “Joy,” a young woman in her 20’s who is described as “quick on her feet — and adept at getting herself into and out of trouble.” The other is “Senator Robert Malden,” a man in is in his fifties described as “a political straight shooter.”

Kristen Bell told EW.com that her reps are working to get her back on Heroes next season. “I have made it more than clear that I want to come back and they have made it more than clear that they want me back.” She said it’s all a matter of scheduling at this point. She also said she’s excited about the possibility of having more scenes with her friend, Zachary Quinto. (more…)

Heroes News for the Week of March 31 to April 5

Friday, April 4th, 2008

47269_coverhq_122_512lo22 Sorry for the lack of news lately but besides the big NBC announcements that I posted yesterday, there hasn’t really been a lot of Heroes news to report over the last couple of weeks. I’ve scoured the internet and found a few tidbits about some of the cast to bring you, though and I’m hoping to get a picture post up a little later today.

Kristen Bell graces this months cover of Cosmo. There are some fabulous photos of Kristen inside the magazine as well as a great interview. You can see scans here.

Hayden Panettiere has signed on for two more movie projects. The first is an adaptation of the Rachel Cohn/David Levithan novel Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List. Hayden will play Naomi, a New Yorker who creates a "No Kiss List" with her gay BFF, Ely. The friendship becomes strained, however, when Ely plants a big one on Naomi’s boyfriend. Hayden will also voice Alpha the wolf in the animated family film, Alpha and Omega. Justin Long will co-star as Omega.

TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello reports that Mohinder may face some competition in the job as narrator. Tim Kring is rumored to be looking for an Australian Aboriginal actor in his fifties to appear in multiple episodes as a storyteller with great wisdom and a soft, soothing voice.

And finally, Ausiello recently talked to Greg Grunberg, who honestly seems like the nicest guy. Greg talked a bit about Heroes and his work with charities supporting Epilepsy and also revealed the cast of his upcoming movie, Group Sex. I can’t get the embed to work out quite right so check it out here.

Who’s Still Alive? Who’s Dead? Spoilers for Heroes, Volume 3

Friday, December 7th, 2007

normal_621_1.jpgEven though Monday’s finale wrapped up a lot of loose ends, it unraveled a whole lot more. Several characters were left in precarious positions and we don’t know if they will live or die (although can anyone ever really die in this show now that we know Claire’s blood is a cure-all)? Well I have some news on who may make it through to Volume 3 and who might not…I’m throwing out a giant SPOILER ALERT now so only click if you’re sure you want to know… (more…)

‘Heroes’ Headlines for November 8

Thursday, November 8th, 2007

1zn95rs_1.jpg

Heroes ratings for Monday were down again. They lost another 500,000 viewers from last week bringing in only about 9.8 million and earning a 4.9/11. I suspect this will creep up with the buzz about this week’s show and the promise of the “Four Months Later” episode. It’s the one we’ve all been waiting for, after all. I don’t have to tell you who won the night, do I? I’ll give you a hint - in involves dancing.

My favorite Hero, Greg Grunberg, did an interview with Buddy TV this week. Greg talked about how the writers strike is affecting production, Parkman’s newly expanded powers, and his relationship with his TV dad, Alan Blumenfeld (Did you know Alan played Greg’s dad on Felicity, too?).

James Kyson Lee, who plays Ando, will be making an appearance at Pacific Media Expo (PMX) this Sunday, Nov. 11. Lee will greet fans with a “rare, intimate two-hour panel and autograph session.” For more information, you can visit PMX’s website: http://www.pacificmediaexpo.com./ (Thanks to Heroes-TV!)

If you want to be spoiled about who may be dying sometime in the next few episodes, Use Your Ability has a very revealing photo posted. (Don’t click if you don’t want to know!)

Greg Beeman reveals some interesting things about Isaac’s paintings and how they create them in his blog this week and has fantastic photos of cast and crew, as always.

The latest chapter of the graphic novel is called “Quarantine.” It tells the story of Howard LeMay of Homeland Security, who I suspect may be the DHS officer who interviewed Peter in Monday’s episode. I can’t find anything to verify that this was Mark Harelik’s character’s name in that eppy though.

I haven’t seen a sneak peek of next week’s episode yet but I suspect it may surface later today. I’ll share it with you as soon as it’s available.

Heroes Quick News

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Heroes ratings for Monday night fell to the lowest in the series’ history, earning just a 4.9/11 with about 10.4 million viewers. That’s down about 250,000 viewers from last week. I don’t have to tell you who won the night…it’s the same old mind-boggling story every week, isn’t it? Curse you Dancing with the Stars!

Kristin at E! Online has some spoilers for us about Elle, Maya, Nathan and Kensei. She also gives us a few hints about who is getting killed and who is doing the killing. I won’t post them here, but if you want to know, check out ‘Watch With Kristin’!

Greg Beeman didn’t post much in his blog this week. He says it’s too crazy at Heroes central. He did, however, post some great photos, as he always does, and he even has some Storyboards posted.

Chapter 57 of the graphic novel is entitled “Team Building” and features H.R.G. and his Russian mentor, Ivan. In it, we see the story of the “liquid man” that Ivan spoke about in Episode 6.

Masi Oka will be serving as ambassador for the One Laptop Per Child non-profit organization. You can read more about their mission at http://www.laptop.org/.

Hayden Panettiere has been in Japan trying to save the Dolphins. Apparently she got into a scary confrontation with some fishermen. Read more about it here.

The premiere issue of Heroes Magazine will be available on November 20. It is billed as “the ultimate guide to exploring one of the biggest shows of 2007!” You can pre-order your copy at NBC/Universal now for $9.99.

And finally, here’s a sneak peek at next week’s episode, “Out of Time” - Looks good!

Heroes News Updates

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Ratings for Monday’s episode were just so-so. Heroes had about 10.7 million viewers for a 4.9/11 ratings share. Dancing with the Stars continues to dominate and I’m sure Marie Osmond’s fainting spell will have viewers glued to their sets next week to see if she keels over again.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Greg Beeman’s blog, make sure you mosey over there and take a gander. He tells how Kristen Bell came to be on the show and explains how some special effects were created. He also has some fantastic candid photos of the cast posted.

Chapter 56 of the graphic novel is up. This one is called “Molly’s Dream” and features, of course, the three M’s - Molly, Matt and Mohinder. It’s takes a look at what’s going on in Molly’s mind while she is in the coma and let’s just say if you don’t like cockroaches you should stay away.

If you’re a fan of Legos, you must check out this guy. He won multiple awards for creating this awesome display of the final scene from Season 1 in Legos. He did an awesome job with the mini figures.

Remember those Zeroes parodies from last season? Turns out NBC had a hand in these and they have created some more. Check them out at MySpace TV.

I don’t want to post these theories here, but if you’re into spoilers, Use Your Ability has some major ones posted. I’ll tell you they are very detailed, but unverified, but it sounds like a viable theory. Read if you dare!

And as I always try to do, I bring you a sneak peek at the next episode, “The Line.”

Heroes Takes Scream Awards | Kristen Bell Spoilers | Meet Matt’s Dad

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

As I told you last week, Heroes was nominated in several categories at Spike’s Scream 2007 Awards. They took home honors in 2 of those categories on Friday night - Best TV Show and Breakout Performance (Hayden Panetierre as Claire Bennet). The show will air on Spike tomorrow night and features appearances by many of our favorite Heroes stars.

The Chicago Sun-Times has a nice article about Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah) and his work with Action in Music. Action in Music is a foundation designed to help young inner-city musicians travel to poor countries to raise money for charitable causes.

Buddy TV talked with Shalim Ortiz (Alejandro) about his role on Heroes. They talked a little bit about where his character is headed, what his power is and how he felt about the fan backlash against Maya and Alejandro. You should give it a read if you have a chance.

Kristen Bell makes her debut on tonight’s episode. Fanboy’s everywhere are squealing - can you hear it? Buddy TV talked to Kristen last week and Use Your Ability has put together this quick list of things that were revealed in that interview (Possible Spoilers):

1 ) Bell’s Chracter Elle is “a little bit off”
2 ) Elle will find Peter
3 ) Elle has a “very interesting dynamic” and a much “deeper relationship” with Claire than people think. Joking but accidently hinting they might be sisters!!
4 ) She appears in Episode 5, but will not return until Episode 8 & 9.
5 ) Bell is signed for only 13 episodes so far.
6 ) Vol. 2 Generations will end by Episode 11 with cliffhanger to Vol. 3
7 ) Fans should “fully expect” to see some of the characters leave
8 ) We will see more of the 12 in the picture.
9 ) Joanna Cassidy could possibly be the person standing next to Mr. Parkman
10 ) Bell mentions she was “not offered” a role on LOST
11 ) Bell says she wants to work with Quinto (Sylar) and face off against him because they are good friends in real life.

Want a sneak peak of Matt’s meeting with his dad? Check out this clip, which was shown during Greg’s appearance on The Tonight Show last Friday. (Thanks to HeroesRevealed)

New Website | Kring & Coleman Liveblog the Premiere | Five scenes to preview

Friday, September 21st, 2007

It’s less than 3 days until the season premiere, and NBC is really gearing up. They’ve announced the premiere week Heroes contest (where you can win a car) and now have re-launched the official Heroes website with fresh content and a streamlined look.

At the revamped site, you can access graphic novels, get episode information, view Heroes World Tour photos and videos, see a preview of the 9th Wonders blog, check out the fan forum, and much more. There is also a section inviting you to visit the companion websites of Primatech Paper, the Yamagato Fellowship and Activating Evolution, where you can see new exclusive video about Mohinder’s sister, Shanti, and the mysterious illness she suffered from.

The most exciting bit for me, though, was the big announcement on the home page that Heroes creator Tim Kring and H.R.G. himself (Jack Coleman) will be liveblogging on Monday night immediately following the season premiere. The blogging begins at 10 pm eastern/9 pm central on September 24 but you can visit http://blog.nbc.com/heroes/ right now and leave questions for Tim and Jack and they’ll do their best to answer all of them when they go live.

And if that’s not enough excitement for one day, watch this video (from YouTube user EzraSmall) featuring five (count ‘em, FIVE) full scenes from Monday night’s premiere. We get a glimpse of Mohinder, Claire, H.R.G., Hiro and a few newcomers as well. But remember – this could contain spoilers, so if you don’t want to be spoiled, don’t watch.

Thanks to my buddy Shankar for the scoop!

Five Years Gone - 3 Spoiler Clips

Friday, April 27th, 2007

For those of you that can’t wait till Monday, I have a few clips that give you a taste of what to expect in epidose 20. Five Years Gone takes place 5 years in the future on the anniversary of the Explosion in NYC.

Spoilers on the next page! (more…)

Upcoming Scenes (Spoiler Alert)

Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

MySpace has footage of scenes from the April 23rd episode of Heroes here. DO NOT WATCH IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SPOILED. I watched it (of course) and where the first half is mainly a summary with a narration by Linderman, the last few seconds shows you something that you may rather wait to be surprised with.

(Hint: Totally Awesome.)

It also ended with an “ad” for the website ItsTimeToSaveTheWorld.com where there are other spoilerific clips of the upcoming episode.
