What to Expect in Season 4

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

59869_HeroesS3xGen_02_122_83lo A renewal isn’t official yet, but EW’s Michael Ausiello already has some scoop on season 4!

Bryan Fuller says that the producers have been doing a lot of talking about what season 4 will look like.  In the final moments of the season 3 finale, the stage will be set for what’s to come in the fall. "Basically, the last act of episode 25, similar to what’s been done in the past, opens up a new chapter of Heroes. It sets up arcs for a variety of characters.”

And that is especially true for Claire, he says. "We set all the pieces up in terms of Claire’s attitude and what her trajectory is going to be in season 4. You will have a very strong idea by the end of this season’s final episode where Claire is going and what’s going to be happening with the Petrellis."

Scoop from Ausiello: Angela, Tracy, 3 Deaths

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

Here’s the latest on Heroes from EW’s Michael Ausiello:

Question: I may be the only person on the planet who watches Heroes anymore, but could you please offer up some scoop? –Sarah
Ausiello:
It’s a shame, too, because the show is actually getting good again. And later this Spring it’s going to get really good when Angela Petrelli receives the "Company Man" treatment via her very own origin episode! "We’re going to understand her in a way that we hadn’t before," teases consulting producer (and author of Heroesoriginal "Company Man" ep), Bryan Fuller.

Question: Could you please tell me if Tracy (Ali Larter) is one of the two major deaths planned for the current Heroes volume? –Justin
Ausiello:
There are actually three deaths coming up — two real and one a fake-out. I’m not saying which category Tracy falls under.

What’s Coming Up on Heroes

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

In her latest Heroes Redux feature, E! Online’s Kristin gives us these tidbits about what’s coming up on Heroes:

  • Matt Parkman’s painting showing him as a suicide bomber will come true next week, but Matt Parkman doesn’t know anything about it.
  • Sylar will finally meet his bio dad next week, as played by John Glover. As I reported yesterday, Samson Gray has a major health problem (lung cancer) that will affect the relationship between he and Sylar.
  • Nathan will need to regain Tracy’s trust next week, or they will have the Hunter after them both.

First Look at John Glover as Sylar’s Dad

Wednesday, February 4th, 2009

John Glover’s official site has posted a photo of John in costume as Sylar’s father, Samson Gray.  Check it out behind the cut!

What’s Coming Up in Episode 15 and Beyond

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

heroesbwcollection8353 E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos is back with her Heroes Redux segment and in it she gives us these spoilers about what to expect in the upcoming episodes:

  • Sylar’s taxidermist dad will be extreme.  Kristin doesn’t reveal how, but says that the writers were split on whether Mr. Gray would be this volume’s big bad or more a meek, misunderstood man.
  • Claire’s bio mom may be back, as hinted at in yesterday’s Behind the Eclipse.  "They have driven home to me that it’s Heroes and so I am not dead," Jessalyn Gilsig tells Kristin. "How could she die by fire? She starts the fire. So I think of her as sitting on the shelf, just waiting to emerge from the ashes. I just hope I don’t come back with a lot of burn makeup that I have to wear."
  • Next week, we will see Dan Byrd as Luke. He has powers that are likened to that of a “human microwave” and he will team up with Sylar.

Photos from the Set this Week

Several new photos from the set have popped up this week.  This first group is from January 26.  In these, Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee) appear to be hitchiking with a baby.  Who do you think the baby is? (click to enlarge)

More Photos from the Set: Milo Ventimiglia and Cristine Rose

Monday, January 19th, 2009

Last week, I showed you one shot from a scene featuring Milo Ventimiglia and Cristine Rose on the steps of a church.  Today, I have a few more from that scene as well as others that look like they are in an alley…with more rain.  These are reportedly from last Monday’s shoot.

Blind Item Update: It’s One of the ‘Heroes’ Ladies Who Wants to Leave?

Monday, January 12th, 2009

15022707451press112200990009AM I didn’t watch E!’s coverage of the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes last night, but The ODI is reporting that Kristin dos Santos said on the air that it is either Hayden Panettiere or Ali Larter who was referenced in her blind item from last week. Here is the quote, as reported by one of their readers, Rebel:

“I have to tell you, we have some breaking TV news. It seems to me that all of our favorite stars are jumping ship. Okay. Now, we’ve heard that T.R. Knight on “Grey’s Anatomy” has asked out of his contract and maybe leaving at the end of this season.  He’s not the only one. Okay. “Heroes” sources are now telling me that one of the two biggest stars. Biggest names on the show, so we’re either talking Hayden or…or…Ali Larter will be leaving the show because they’ve asked off the show. So now NBC has not yet decided if they’re going to let them out of it.”

Kristen then goes to talk about another actor on another show I don’t know about. Then closes with:  “I hope I can talk some of these TV stars to stay with their shows.”

Did anyone else see this last night?  I haven’t been able to find anything to confirm the quote.  I also need to point out that this is still an unconfirmed (by NBC) spoiler.

Here, again, are the original clues as to who it might be:

  1. It’s a series regular who’s been on since season one.
  2. Some of you fans would freak if this actor were to leave.
  3. This particular Hero-ic soul has more name recognition than others in the cast.
  4. According to Peacock-net insiders, NBC is not likely to release this actor. (See number three.)
  5. If this actor does return for season four, there’s an easy way to bring him or her back from the planned “death.”

Now, which of these ladies do you think it might be? Discuss!

Blind Item: Which Heroes Star Wants Out?

Thursday, January 8th, 2009

27493_Shahel-Heroes_seasonone1805072300-0039_122_731lo E! Online’s Kristin has posted a blind item citing sources “close to Heroes” which indicates that one of the cast members is looking to exit the show at the end of this season, in part because of lack of screen time.

According to her sources, NBC has not yet decided whether to let this actor out of his/her contract.  There is, however, a “death” planned for the end of Volume 4 that could “wipe out this character for good.”

Here are the clues to who it might be:

What is your guess?

Fugitives Spoilers from E!

Monday, January 5th, 2009

67890_NUP_132228_0008_122_70lo In this week’s edition of Spoiler Chat, E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos gives us a few teasers about what we can expect when Volume 4, “Fugitives” starts up in February.

  • Nathan will become “BFF’s” with the president almost overnight, thanks to his inside info about those with powers.
  • Nathan has turned bad and one of the first people he sells out is “a certain icy blonde.”  Sounds like Tracy may not be in line for first lady after all.
  • Every good Hero needs a lair and it seems that Hiro and Ando are getting one.

Heroes returns to NBC on Monday, February 2nd.

TV Guide Sci-Fi Preview features Heroes

Monday, December 15th, 2008

TV Guide’s 2009 Sci-Fi Preview issue hit newsstands last week and inside featured a bit of what we can expect from Heroes in the coming year. Cast members asked questions that were answered by Tim Kring. Here’s a summary (thanks to our good friends at The ODI):

For the "Villains" finale, Episode 3.13 Duel:

  • Good guys will team up against each other
  • Villains will reveal their inner angels
  • Peter and Nathan will square-off against one another
  • Sylar will have Claire, HRG, Meredith and Angela captive inside The Company
  • Sylar and Claire will face-off and one of Claire’s parents will die (Seems like it will be Meredith based on other rumors)

For Volume 4, "Fugitives":

  • Janice will appear again and Matt will realize the Heroes are not the only ones in danger, but the people in their lives are as well.
  • We will not see much of the future Heroes and Kring says time-travel has become a "crutch" so it will be avoided
  • We might see the origins of The Company and the first time they met in 1977
  • Episode 3×20 will provide us with more details about Ando’s past.
  • Mohinder will have an "up-hill battle" to remove his powers.
  • Sylar will search for more details about his past and once he learns about all this he will do more "awful and scary" things.

What’s Coming Up in the Finale and Volume 4

Monday, December 15th, 2008

heroes00005 Hi guys.  Sorry for the lack of updates.  Things are still nuts around here and I don’t foresee it slowing down until after Christmas!  Anyway, I owe you some news from the past week, including Kristin dos Santos’ weekly Heroes Redux, so here goes:

  • This statement is still true: A cutie-pie blonde in a new romance is going to die, and at first she’ll seem to be done for, but then we will learn that it’s all a cover-up—she’s still breathing. Elle just got roasted by Sylar. Is she the blonde in question—or is there someone else who qualifies?
  • Peter will not be without abilities for too much longer. In fact, he’ll be flying high within a few short episodes.
  • In the Fugitives volume we’ll see that creating supersoldiers isn’t Nathan and Tracy’s primary objective. They’re less interested in engineering than they are in command and control issues. Think Guantanamo Bay, only their version of Camp X-Ray actually has people who can do X-rays with their brains…

Kristin also revealed in her Spoiler Chat column that the "Villains" finale will end with a plane crash and we will not know which of our Heroes survive.  Brea Grant tells Kristin that she will not, in fact, be on that plane because her character, Daphne, has been kidnapped. (I think Brea Grant’s revelation could mean that she is the "cutie-pie blonde" referred to in Kristin’s first bullet point above.  Parkman will think she is dead, but it’s all a cover up.  What’s your theory?)

EW’s Michael Ausiello also tells us that Kristen Bell will not be returning, but another character will be.  He says details are coming soon…

Spoilers: What’s Coming Up on Heroes

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

59960_HeroesS3xGen_04_122_530lo E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos gave us a few tidbits about what’s coming up, as she always does, in her weekly Spoiler Chat and Heroes Redux columns.  Here’s what she revealed:

  • One of the Heroes will die soon, putting an end to a new love story as we know it, and more "house-cleaning" may be in store for the show.  Greg Grunberg spills: "There’s a huge plane crash, and all of us are involved…I’ll tell you this, it’s not Oceanic 815, and I’m not in the pilot seat. It’s a little different."
  • Hunter (Zeljko Ivanek) will capture man of the Heroes and loads them onto a transport plane bound for a Guantánamo Bay-type facility. When the plane goes down, "You don’t know who survives," says Grunny. Cristine Rose told Kristin, "I’m getting old, I don’t see myself parachuting." Was Cristine revealing something about how the Heroes survive?
  • One Tree Hill’s Moira Kelly will be guest starring as Abby Collins, a Homeland Security agent, in at least one episode of the Fugitives volume.
  • We have more details about Dan Byrd’s troubled teen, Luke.  Apparently he his powers include "microwaves that are strong enough fry people." Luke will be joining Sylar on the road, but, according to Kristin, "the poor unlucky kid’s probably just going to get de-brained for his trouble."
  • Claire will not die (duh) and will get well enough to pursue her goal of getting into the fight. "In an upcoming episode, Claire becomes the centerpiece of a major showdown between good and evil."
  • The death of a blonde mentioned above is not referring to Elle. Kristin says, "It’s another newish blonde I’m sorry to see go," which sounds to me like she is referring to Tracy Strauss (newish - meaning only kinda new?).  Kristin also mentioned the photos that were leaked showing Elle bloody and said they have her "deeply concerned."

Major Spoilers - Leaked Promo Photos

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Our good friends at The ODI posted some thumbnails of some very spoilery images from episode 3.12, "Our Father."  These images contain so many spoilers that I hesitated to post them here, but I decided to just go ahead and put them behind a cut.  Trust me, you really don’t want to click and look at these if you are avoiding spoilers (or maybe even if you aren’t!).

I have also posted some rumors after the photos about what may be happening in the episode and I would advise you to stay away from those rumors as well…

You’ve been warned:

Spoiler Roundup – What to Expect in the Next Few Weeks

Wednesday, November 19th, 2008

In Kristin’s latest Spoiler Chat, she tells us that Hiro and Ando will meet up with Sam and Frack, played by Seth Green and Breckin Meyer, in their attempts to take down the “big baddies.”

Kristin also gave us these reveals in the latest Heroes Redux:

  • Can Arthur be stopped?  We will find out in the upcoming batch of episodes, “as Arthur Petrelli’s reign of terror finally comes under attack, leading up to a spectacular but devastating showdown between the Heroes and the Villains in the last ep of this volume.”
  • Another Petrelli brother will lose his abilities, and it happens for a much more mechanical, tangible reason (and it has nothing to do with next week’s eclipse).
  • Next week, we will learn definitively that the Haitian is a Hero (not a Villain). We will also find out if he can he restore memories as well as wipe them out.

For a little more Haitian and Petrelli scoop, check out this video of The Watch with Kristin ShowMilo Ventimiglia, Adrian Pasdar and Jimmy Jean-Louis chat about what is coming up:

We’ve also got a little bit about Fugitives from EW’s Michael Ausiello.  He tells us that the show will be turning a corner with the new volume and it will be a lot easier to kept track of what’s going on. According to an NBC insider, "They’re changing the style of storytelling. Instead of five or six stories to follow, there’s more like three or four. It’s like the first season in many respects."

The ODI reports that we may see Molly and Maya again.  Dania Ramirez said at the recent Heroes Weekend Con in the UK that she is still under contract to the show and has filmed a few more scenes. She isn’t sure if they will be shown or not.  Adair Tishler was also in attendance and reports that Molly is staying with Mohinder’s grandparents and we may see her in episode 12 or 13.
