Countdown to the Premiere Photos

Monday, September 8th, 2008

Last night, the cast of Heroes taped the Countdown to the Premiere special which will air in the hour preceding the 2 hour Season 3 premiere. The party was held at Edison lounge in L.A. We’ve got photos of the red carpet and a few from inside the party as well. It looks like everyone came out except for my BFF Greg Grunberg. (Grunny, where were you?)

Video of Masi and Milo in Australia

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Here are a couple of fan videos that were posted on YouTube of Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia at the autograph sesson at JB Hi-Fi in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday, September 2.

This first one is my favorite. It is titled "M&M in Sydney Australia - Buckshotwon Style" and is from YouTube user foxsyd. It is, of course, a nod to Adrian Pasdar’s popular videos posted under the account buckshotwon.

‘Heroes’ Round-up for 09.03.08

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

WH100 A few Heroes items to check out on the web today:

  • Crave has an interview with Milo Ventimiglia in which he talks a little about season 3.  There aren’t any big revelations but he does talk some about doing his own stunts and reveals that many of his scenes will be with Adrian Pasdar this season. (Thanks to The ODI)
  • NBC has announced that they will premiere many of their shows online a week before their television air date. Unfortunately Heroes won’t be one of those, but it will be showing up on Hulu the day after the premiere, on September 23, just in case you miss it on Monday.
  • Kristen Bell will be paying a visit to The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Friday, September 19.
  • TV Guide’s Matt Mitovich and Mickey O’Connor posted this answer in today’s Mega Buzz:

"I’ve heard a crazy Heroes rumor that Adam and Niki are related. Is that true? — Stacie
Matt: It’s certainly crazy! Very crazy! And untrue."

Milo Ventimiglia’s USO Trip (and some ‘Heroes’ News) Featured in TV Guide

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

I got the latest issue of TV Guide in the mail today and on page 20 there is a feature on Milo Ventimiglia’s trip with the USO to visit soldiers in the Middle East.

Milo shared some exclusive photos with the magazine and talked about his experiences meeting soldiers in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. He also took time to reveal some clues about Season 3 of Heroes. Here’s an excerpt (possible spoilers ahead):

Milo turns cryptic when he shares that a major male character close to everyone, whom viewers have heard of but not yet seen, will be "relieving people of their abilities" in a season when villains become heroes and heroes become villains. (Keep an eye on Hiro’s sidekick, played by James Kyson Lee, who says that his character, Ando, goes "on a personal journey of finding his own wings.")  "You may not be so quick to think Sylar should be discarded." Milo hints, "Zach’s character this year is not so straightforward evil. This season we’re all in question."

The article goes on to reveal that Zachary Quinto and Hayden Panettiere had some fun shooting the much talked about Claire/Sylar scene from the season opener. Zach apparently took some behind the scenes photos of Hayden’s brain being scooped out with a spoon. Wouldn’t you love to see those?

The September 8-14 Fall Preview issue of TV Guide is available tomorrow.

Masi Oka and Milo Ventimiglia Meet Fans at JB Hi-Fi in Australia

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Heroes stars Masi Oka and Milo Ventmiglia continued their visit to Australia with an appearance at JB Hi-Fi Store in Sydney today, looking a little more casual than they did in the interview from yesterday.

Masi and Milo greeted hundreds of fans, some of whom had been waiting since 7 am for the 1 pm event, and signed copies of the Heroes DVD. While Masi said he enjoyed making the connection with fans, Milo admitted that he really didn’t get why people liked to collect autographs.

“If I’ve ever been a fan of a musician or an athlete or an actor I think even when I was kid I never asked for autographs. I’d just walk up and say, *thank you, I like your work’, and walk away, Ventimiglia said. “The kind of clamouring for that celebrity I’ve never really understood so much.  You’ve got to wonder what The Beatles must have felt like.”

Milo also said he didn’t understand why some fans were upset when he shortened his signature to his first name. “I’m thinking, ‘why do you want my full name? What are you going to do with it? What credit card companies are you going to go to?’"

Masi repeated his mantra and explained, “To be a geek means you’re passionate about something, whether that’s comic books, water, architecture or whatever, and I think that shows our individuality and who we are as humans.  I’d rather be passionate about something than apathetic about everything.”

Here are a few photos of the guys at the JB Hi-Fi appearance (click to enlarge):
