James Kyson Lee, Dania Ramirez and Jimmy Jean-Louis were out last night, September 20, at Entertainment Weekly’s 6th annual pre-Emmy celebration at the Historic Beverly Hills Post Office.
Here is video of an interview with James Kyson Lee and Cristine Rose from last night’s NBC Premiere Party. Adam Carolla recorded his radio show live on site and talked to stars from all of the NBC shows. Unfortunately Cristine was ignored for most of the interview and it became all about James and his boob-grabbing. I would expect nothing less from Adam Carolla though…
(The volume is very low on this video, so you may have to crank it up…just don’t forget to turn it back down afterward! )
NBC has a new group of 31 promo images, this time in black & white. Some of these look like the poses that were used in the Photoshopped versions, while others look very similar to the color versions we have seen.
E! Online was so inspired by Masi Oka’s Comic-Con Japanese description of season 3 that they decided to ask the multilingual cast to talk to them in their native languages at the recent Countdown to the Premiere Party. I’ve included the video of the interviews from Kristin’s "Translate Your Own Scoop," featuring Masi, Dania Ramirez, James Kyson Lee and Jimmy Jean-Louis, along with the English translation provided by commenters at E!. I have no idea if the translations are correct (except Jimmy - I do speak un peu de français) so if you hear something different, leave us a comment with what you think they said.
"Season three is as fun as the season one. It gets speedy and there’s gonna be more dramas, actions, and comedies. Please watch the show.I don’t know what’s gonna happen. But, in the future, Ando will kind of betray Hiro. Kensei Takezo, aka Adam Monroe, is immortal, so he’s not dead. It means he’s likely to be alive. In the Episode 12, there will be a huge development."
NBC took that footage we showed you earlier, along with a few clips that we didn’t see, and put it all together in this more polished video. All of the cast and Tim Kring offer up nice soundbytes about Season 3. Check it out:
E! Online’s Kristin has a couple of Heroes tidbits in today’s edition of Spoiler Chat:
Nathaniel in Washington, D.C.: What can you tell me about Heroes‘ future? Let’s see…Matt Parkman’s (Greg Grunberg) future is drawn for him by an African bushman, and in the world’s future, the sky is full of people who can fly. It’ll be just like The Jetsons! Except, you know, no flying contraptions needed. This is a future I’m looking forward to ’cause the traffic on the 405 is killing me.
Emma in Cedar Rapids, Iowa: Can you tell me anything more about Ali Larter’s character’s powers on Heroes? You know the reporter played by William Katt of Greatest American Hero who confronts "Tracy Strauss" (Ali Larter) with evidence that she’s actually "Niki Saunders"? Well, there’s a reason he’s only in one episode, and that reason is that someone kills him by accident. (Wait a minute, could Ali be playing a character with a lethal power? Noooo!) Also, after Tracy begins to believe the reporter might be right about her real identity, she sets off to find the doctor who delivered her, in hopes that he can tell her more about her origins. She finds out at summer camp she has an identical twin, and they set off on a mischievious but adorable mission to get their parents to reunite. Or wait, that last sentence may have been from another story.
Kristin also posted an article about last night’s Countdown to the Premiere party at Edison in LA. She described the event as being more like an awards show, complete with screaming fans on the red carpet and a few paid extras for that extra "Hollywood glamour." The show was being filmed for broadcast after all.
Last night, the cast of Heroes taped the Countdown to the Premiere special which will air in the hour preceding the 2 hour Season 3 premiere. The party was held at Edison lounge in L.A. We’ve got photos of the red carpet and a few from inside the party as well. It looks like everyone came out except for my BFF Greg Grunberg. (Grunny, where were you?)
Hayden Panettiere made an appearance on MTV’s TRL. I showed you photos from her arrival at MTV Studios, but here she is taping the show on September 2 in New York City.
Dania Ramirez was spotted at MTV TR3s Pre-VMA Party held at Level 3 on September 4 in Hollywood.
Hayden Panettiere and Adrian Pasdar attended Conde Nast Media Group’s Fifth Annual Fashion Rocks at Radio City Music Hall on September 5 in New York City. The show will air on CBS on Tuesday, September 9.
The stars of Heroes were part of a press conference at the Four Seasons Hotel on August 21 in Beverly Hills, California and we have a few photos of the cast for you. Hayden Panettiere apparently did not attend but the other 11 primary cast members were in attendance.
Dragon*Con, one of the world’s largest Science Fiction and popular arts conventions, will be held in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend, August 29 to September 1. Every summer, over thirty thousand fans from all over the world attend the convention, which is held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Hilton Atlanta, and Sheraton Atlanta. The convention is hosted by a 1,000+ member, all-volunteer staff and this year benefits the American Heart Association.
This year, Dragon*Con boasts several Heroes-related guests. Stars Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet) and James Kyson Lee (Ando Masahashi) are scheduled to appear, as are several Heroes guest stars - Erick Avari (Chandra Suresh), Dominic Keating (Will), and George Takei (Kaito Nakamura).
We have our first look at some high quality promotional photos of 11 of the regular Heroes cast members. Ali Larter is the only one missing from the bunch. I’m not sure why she wouldn’t have a promo shot since she was in the group shot we posted and we’ve seen a wallpaper featuring Ali on the MySpace page.

Kristin revealed that David Anders will indeed be back as Season 2 villain Adam Monroe, making his debut in the fourth episode of Season 3. No word yet on who might release him from his coffin, but Kristin said he will be pissed when he finally gets out. In Kristin’s Spoiler Chat column, she also reveals that The Greatest American Hero, William Katt, will be playing the reporter who digs into Tracy’s past and finds the lasvegasniki.com website. When he confronts her, she denies any connection, and honestly doesn’t seem to have any idea what he’s talking about.
Kristin also gave us this quote from James Kyson Lee: "The show really goes back to some of the fundamental relationships from season one that everyone really cared about and got excited about." We’ll also get some more of the lighter moments, including a scene between Ando, Hiro and the Haitian that should “send you into giggle fits.” Those lighter moments are something that I, personally, really missed in Season 2.
Now on to Matt Mitovich at TVGuide.com. In his video “Mega Minute,” he revealed that Angela Petrelli will be dealing with some major family issues in Season 3, only some of which will involve Nathan and Peter. He wonders if the familiar way she is speaking to Sylar in the previews could mean that he is her son. That would fit right in with the other rumors we’ve been hearing this season about another adopted character.
On my daily trip to NBC.com’s Heroes site, I ran across this new promotional photo of the cast for Season 3.
The photo is not very large, but from left to right it looks like we have James Kyson Lee (Ando Masahashi), Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet aka HRG), Ali Larter (the character formerly Niki/Jessica Sanders), Cristine Rose (Angela Petrelli), Adrian Pasdar (Nathan Petrelli), Milo Ventimiglia (Peter Petrelli), Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), Dania Ramirez (Maya Herrera), Zachary Quinto (Sylar) and Sendhil Ramamurthy (Mohinder Suresh). They all appear to be standing on a pile of rubble…at the end of the world, no doubt. Noticeably absent from this photo is Noah Gray-Cabey (Micah Sanders) who will be taking on a smaller role in the show this year.
The individual cast photos can’t be far behind. I’ll bring them to you as soon as I can find them.
The Heroes cast took a train from LA to San Diego for last weekend’s Comic-Con panel. Jack Coleman took along his video camera and documented the trip as well as the panel (you can see in the official video that several cast members were taking photos and video). NBC.com has shared Jack’s video with us and I have it here for your viewing pleasure. The first video is from the trip to Comic-Con. You’ll get a look at Adrian Pasdar, Milo Ventimiglia, Sendhil Ramamurthy, James Kyson Lee and Cristine Rose:
The second video shows a little of their arrival at the convention center, backstage footage (where you’ll get a glimpse of Chuck’s Zachary Levi), and some onstage footage of fans and cast. The final bit is jokesters Jack and Adrian doing a bit with some bananas on the train. You know you don’t want to miss that:
