Watching Heroes

The Heroes invaded the world this past summer when they embarked on an 8 country Heroes World Tour.  These items would make perfect gifts for fans who got to see the tour and want a memento, or for those of us who didn’t get the chance to go and wish we had.

I love this t-shirt. It’s the Nathan Petrelli “Flying Man” design and what makes it even better, is that it’s green. No, I’m not talking about the color (although it is green in color, too). I’m talking about the fact that this shirt is made from 100% organic cotton and printed with organic ink. The back of the shirt lists the 8 toured cities, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Paris, Munich, Toronto, & New York. This shirt is available in S, M, L, XL, and XXL. It retails for $26.00. 

Here’s another World Tour t-shirt in black with the Heroes logo on the front. It reads, “Nissan Presents The Heroes World Tour - Summer 2007.” The back lists the 8 World Tour locations. This one may not be as environmentally friendly as the Flying Man version but it’s still a very cool shirt. This one is only available in S, M and L. It will run you $22.00.

And finally, we have the Heroes World Tour 2007 organic luggage tag. This is another green product, both in color and in design. Made of 100% organic materials, this tag is sure to brighten up your luggage or laptop case. And it will fit right into your budget at only $8.00.

Interviews with Heroes are showing up everywhere these days. Here are a few you might want to read…

* USA Today caught up with Adrian Pasdar, Greg Grunberg, David Anders and Shalim Ortiz at US Weekly’s Hot Hollywood party last week. They talked to the guys about the show, their characters, the Heroes World Tour and what it’s like to be “hot” in Hollywood. They also asked about Hayden and Milo, to which Adrian replied, “They’re friends. We were in Europe together and I’m kind of a surrogate dad to her and anything inappropriate would not have happened on my watch,” said Pasdar. He added that if it had, “I would have had to sit them both down and talk to them.”

* George Takei talked to Entertainment Weekly about his role on Heroes and how he came to play Kaito. He also chats about Star Trek, gives his thoughts on Zachary Quinto as Spock, and talks about when (or if) he might retire.

* Masi Oka chatted with Geek Monthly about, well, being a geek. He also talks about his work with Industrial Light and Magic and, of course, a little bit about Heroes as well. The best part of this interview is the photos though. They’ve posed Masi as a cowboy, the Fonz, Tony Montana from Scarface and my favorite, Mork from Ork. Don’t miss this one! 

* The UK’s Female First interviewed Tim Kring. He chatted about his influences (The Incredibles for one) and how Heroes came to be. It’s a great in-depth interview with insight into Tim’s goal for the show and some of the characters…a must read.

The Heroes World Tour is underway and NBC has posted some great video of the cast from Tokyo, Munich and New York. You can view it here. It’s great to see the cast in some candid moments. They all look they’re having a fantastic time in their respective cities.

Lots of Heroes news this week! NBC has finally announced the dates and cast members for the Heroes World Tour. What an awesome opportunity for those of you in these cities!

The creators and cast of Heroes are hitting the road on a world tour in anticipation of the Season one DVD release and upcoming Season two. NBC will be covering the tour with videos, original content and fan submitted pictures. It should definitely provide us some interesting summer viewing while the show is on hiatus.
