Behind the Eclipse Week 8 Summary

by

WH100 Joe Pokaski & Aron Coliete are back to answer fan questions in week 8 of CBR’s "Behind the Eclipse."  Here’s a summary:

  • How do they decide on big character changing decisions - the 150-hour test. "We debate these character changes for 150 hours and if we still like the idea after 150 hours, that means that we think the story has legs and we can do something with it. If the idea dies or gets shot down – it was never meant to survive."
  • There are no plans, as of yet, for Santiago (of the Destiny webisodes) to show up on Heroes.
  • H.R.G. is going to have a very interesting and crucial role in “Fugitives.” "It’s not about being an agent anymore. Everything is turned on its head. Everything."
  • Peter will not get his powers back by next week. He’s got to learn if he can be a hero without his abilities.
  • There are no plans to introduce the third of the Ali Larter triplets, Barbara, into the story yet.
  • We will eventually learn about Matt’s mother, but not this season.
  • It would seem that Arthur, Peter and Sylar all have the same ability and if that is so, Sylar may be able to learn how to remove powers.
  • Why deos Usutu keep appearing to Matt. Is it part of Usutu’s power or Matt’s?
  • Meredith will show up again, but not as HRG’s partner. H.R.G. will have his hands full protecting Claire from Arthur.
  • We’ll learn how Claire became the catalyst  in episode 12. The Haitian is going to have a very different part to play in the finale of Villains.
  • What we are seeing with the 9th Wonders comics is the posthumous works of Isaac Mendez. That will be covered in episode 11 by Seth Green’s character.
  • Arthur did not intend to turn Hiro into a 10-year-old, instead he was trying to wipe his mind (using The Haitian’s ability) of all he had learned in the spirit walk.  (My question - why wouldn’t he have just taken his powers and/or killed him?)
  • Matt’s power seems to be evolving in ways that his father’s never did. Like seeing Usutu. What’s that about?  (They keep going back to this - it must be big!)
  • In Episode 12, we will find out that Claire may not be the only catalyst.
  • An eclipse always affects the Heroes, but not always in the same way.
  • We will find out who was painting all those murals (at the docks, the alley, etc).

Be sure to check out the entire Q&A over at CBR.
