Behind the Eclipse: Week 7 Summary

by Debbie Ford

WH100 As always, Heroes writers Aron Coleite and Joe Pokaski, took the time to answer some fan questions.  Since I’m running so far behind, I’m going to borrow a summary of the key points from my good friends over at The ODI.

  • The writers work as a team on the GNs with ideas pitched in a "loose rotation"
  • Episode 3×13 War - Building will be blown up, some stories and perhaps characters will be "put to rest", but there will still be no clear winner between the Heroes or Villains
  • Death is a necessary tool for the writers and maybe fans miss certain characters, but if they were not killed, they might not be missed as much
  • We have not see the last of Usutu (he was seen again in Episode 3×09 last night)
  • They try to explain the continuity error in the HRG/Elle/Sylar scene and it "infuriated" them.
  • We will learn a little bit more about "The Formula’s" origins in some upcoming episodes.
  • Claire’s future employment with Arthur was "averted or delayed" once Peter fell through the window.
  • Claire will not find out any time soon that her dad HRG was responsible for Sylar’s path to killer. Sylar does not even know HRG was involved just Elle.
  • Most of the Heroes abilities come with side effects like The Hunger, but not as severe
  • We will eventually learn about Adam’s kids, but not this season
  • Sylar gained the cryokinesis ability from James Walker by: killing, absorbing and then testing
  • Anyone with the ability to see the future is a threat to Arthur
  • If Arthur dies, all the powers go with him and are not returned to the original person.
  • It will not be that easy for Peter to regain his powers
  • Episode 3×11 - Sam and Frack will have a theory about the Eclipse being similar to the tides
  • They avoid answering several questions about Linderman and say "you never know"
  • HRG does feel guilty of making Sylar the killer he is
  • They would like to explore the story of Elle’s mother but do not know when.
  • Episode 3×12 will see some "memory healing" (I assume this is related to Hiro)
  • Arthur doesn’t use powers on Nathan, because they wanted Linderman to be feared thus he wanted to kill him hoping to send a message to the DA’s office
  • Keep checking out the GNs for more character from "The List" to appear
  • Doyle will return in Episode 3×13 and will have at least one appearance in Volume 4

A character doesn’t have to be dead to be missed… I miss Claude like crazy! It would destroy me if they killed him off.
